In the Spotlight: Maybelline Color Tattoo

November 4, 2012

Every Sunday from now on, an In the Spotlight post will be uploaded. Nearly every week, I (re)discover something I love, whether it’s a make up product, a song or a person. So I thought: let’s give this thing -whatever it is- a bit of attention by putting it in the spotlight!

This week: Maybelline Color Tattoo 24H Gel-Cream Eyeshadow (#35 On and On Bronze).

Gosh, how I love this eyeshadow! You can use it as a base for a glamorous brown-golden smokey eye, or just use it on it’s own, like I did. In the picture below I’m wearing nothing but Maybelline’s Color Tattoo 24H Gel-Cream Eyeshadow (and clothes…), look at the beautiful effect just one  swipe of this provides!

And it just. Doesn’t. Move! After a whole day of rain and sweat, most eyeshadows (especially creams like this product) would crease like crazy, but this one stays in place perfectly.

The only downside is the price, it costed me around €10. If you’re searching for a dupe, look no further…

The Made To Stay Longlasting Eyeshadows by Catrice do an excellent job. These ones are quite cheap (€3,49) compared to the Maybelline ones. They don’t have the same awesome lasting power, but they are just as pigmented and just as easy to work with.

Love,

Suzanne
