Pretty Pan Porn

October 20, 2013

Okay, either you know the definition of Pan Porn, or you don’t and you’re now wondering why I turned my beauty blog into a… eh… another kind of site.

Just to be sure, let me explain this phrase. You hit pan when you’ve used up enough of a product to reach the bottom, so that the packaging shows. Lots of beautylovers (I’m one of them) get way too excited when they reach this point – which is actually quite strange because it shows that you’re about to run out of a product! Anyway…

Today I have a bunch of lovely pictures to show you: here are my pan porn products!

Pan Porn!

The first category: lip balms! From left to right…

  • I don’t use this Daily Lip Conditioner by Blistex very often, because to my opinion the smell and flavour are a bit too strong. The effect, however, is very nice; this product really makes my lips feel soft and smooth.
  • I’m sure you’re all familiar with the Lip Butters by Nivea, they came out just a while ago. I’m completely in love with this Vanilla & Macadamia scent, it smells like freshly baked cookies, yum! It’s too bad that this product makes your lips look a bit white – and that my boyfriend’s allergic to nuts…
  • I featured this limited edition lip butter from The Body Shop in the blogpost about my five favourite lip balms, and I still love it just as much as I did then. It smells and tastes divine, and it also does a great job moisturising.

Here are a few skin care products…

  • The largest tub is The Body Shop’s Vanilla Bliss Body Butter, it’s such a shame this is a limited edition product, because it smells amazing and moisturises like crazy!
  • Below it is another Body Butter by The Body Shop, which even does a better job moisturising than the Vanilla Bliss one – when I’m finished with this mini version, I might buy the full size product. By the way, you can read my review about those Body Butters (plus a few more) by clicking here.
  • The third product on the picture is my precious Dior Enriched Penetrating Moisture Cream, I’m so sad that I’m reaching the bottom…

Ah, finally – some make up!

  • Although I barely use my 180 Pro Palette these days, when I just got it I used this matte brown shade almost every single day. Some colours from the palette I have never touched, but in this one you can see the pan!
  • This Color Tattoo by Maybelline New York (#35 On And On Bronze) is one of my all time favourite products, no wonder that the pan is showing! I wrote a very positive review about Maybelline’s Color Tattoo’s, click here to read the article.
  • This blush by Catrice, called Mineral Soft Powder Rouge #120 Wild Rose, has such a lovely colour! It’s a rosy shade with a bit of glitter in it, perfect for every day. I own this blush for a few years – I’m afraid it’s long gone from the product line by now.

Pan Porn!

Because I use powder almost every day, I have a few quite impressive powder pans to show you, here they are from left to right:

  • Well hello, this is some high quality pan porn! It’s a very cheap powder foundation (#261 Nude) by MAX (NOT Max Factor, MAX is a crappy Dutch brand). I’ve gone through more of these than I can count, because I used it to achieve fair vampire skin when me and my friends made our Twilight Saga Trailer – click here for more information about that project.
  • The second product also has a big fat circle in the middle, that’s because this is my go-to powder foundation. Luckily I already bought a back up of this Mattifying Foundation (#26 Medium) by Sephora!
  • A teeny tiny pan… This Stay Matte Pressed Powder (007 Mohair) by Rimmel London is the best translucent powder in the entire world! I use it on top of liquid foundation or concealer – it does a great, GREAT job at mattifying you skin!

Pan Porn!

So here you go, a blog post full of delicious pan porn! I hope you’ve enjoyed this, and I’ll let you know when I see another shiny pan popping up in my make up stash.

Love,

Suzanne
