8 Steps To Perfect Red Lips

December 11, 2013

When I think of Christmas, I think of Santa Claus, snow, Christmas trees… And red lips! So here’s a tutorial showing you how to create the perfect red lip for your Christmas party.

Click Read more for the video and a list of every product used.

If the video below doesn’t show up, click here to watch it.

These are the 8 steps shown in the video:

  1. Scrub you lips to make them nice and smooth!
  2. Apply your favourite lip balm, let it soak in and a few minutes later, remove it with a cotton bud.
  3. For a long-lasting red lip: line your lips using a lip liner (the same shade of red as your lipstick), then fill them in.
  4. Apply a red lipstick of your choice using a lip brush, this way you can create very sharp lines.
  5. Do the fish face and blot your lips with a tissue!
  6. Reapply the lipstick, this time straight from the tube for maximum pigmentation.
  7. Using a small detailer brush, apply concealer around your lips to make the lines extra sharp. This will also cancel out any redness or flaws in your face, making your lips stand out even more.
  8. If you prefer shiny lips, you can add a clear lip gloss on top. Be careful not to smudge the lipstick, though!
